Hanoi, April 16, 2024 – The Viet Nam Young Entrepreneurs Association (VYEA) and the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) held a meeting to discuss cooperation in promoting startups and innovation among young entrepreneurs.
Mr. Pham Hong Quat, Director of the Department of Market Development and Science and Technology Enterprises (MOST) and Mr. Nguyen Doan Thang, Vice President – General Secretary of VYEA co-chaired the meeting. Also present were representatives of the National Startup Support Center (NSSC) and the VYEA Central Office.
At the meeting, the two sides discussed the coordination and organization of activities to promote startup and innovation activities among young entrepreneurs, such as supporting VYEA member enterprises in building and implementing science and technology projects at home and abroad; and organizing training and training programs on startups and innovation in Viet Nam and internationally.
In addition, the two sides also discussed solutions to promote support for connecting investors to potential startup projects; build a dynamic and creative startup community by sending outstanding representatives of the Association to participate in the annual National Startup and Innovation Day (TECHFEST) program of the MOST.
Coordinate to select, build and recognize a list of mentor lists, angelists who are outstanding young entrepreneurs of the VYEA.
The two sides agreed to develop a draft cooperation agreement, a program of coordinated activities, submit to the leaders of the two sides for approval, and sign on the occasion of Viet Nam Science and Technology Day (May 18).
