Da Nang, Viet Nam – April 17, 2024 – A delegation from Goyang City (Gyeonggi Province, Republic of Korea), led by Mayor Lee Dong Hwan, paid a working visit to the Young Entrepreneurs Association of Da Nang City (YEA Da Nang).
Mr. Le Tri Hai, Vice President of the Viet Nam Young Entrepreneurs Association and President of YEA Da Nang, along with other members of the association’s Executive Board and Standing Committee, attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Mr. Le Tri Hai proposed strengthening exchanges and trade between businesses of the association with Goyang City and suggested working sessions between YEA Da Nang and businesses in the technology valley and free economic zone in Goyang City.
On this occasion, Goyang City signed memorandums of cooperation with YEA Da Nang to strengthen friendly relations and promote cooperation.
Accordingly, YEA Da Nang signed a cooperation agreement with Goyang City; signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Goyang Industrial Development Institute and the Goyang Industrial Development Support Center.
The two sides agreed to promote discussions to build a program to search for and train startups; cooperate in building a human resource training and exchange program.
Mr. Lee Dong Hwan, Mayor of Goyang City, said that the signing ceremony was a premise for the two sides to carry out bilateral cooperation, and expressed hope for the upcoming cooperation programs between YEA Da Nang and Korean businesses, thereby contributing to the deepening, substantive and effective cooperation relationship between the two countries of Viet Nam and Republic of Korea in general, Da Nang and Goyang City in particular.
Located near Seoul’s economic center, Goyang City is an important commercial and service center with many industrial and commercial zones under development.
Goyang is a center for the development of the strong electronic and information technology industry; an attractive destination for tourists through the organization of many annual events and festivals. In particular, Goyang City was designated by the Korean government as a model city in 2022, with autonomy in its city operations. Currently, Goyang is actively promoting the development of a free economic zone and expanding exchanges with cities abroad. |
