On the afternoon of May 14th, in Hanoi, the Viet Nam Young Entrepreneurs Association (VYEA) and Intech Viet Nam Green Energy Development Joint Stock Company (Intech Energy) signed a cooperation agreement for 2024 regarding the sponsorship of solar power systems for schools in disadvantaged highland areas.
The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyen Doan Thang, Vice President and Secretary-General of VYEA; Mr. Hoang Huu Thang, Vice President of VYEA’s Investment and Startup Club and Chairman of Intech Energy’s Board of Directors; along with representatives from relevant units.
According to the cooperation agreement, with the desire to promote green energy and environmental protection, as well as develop rooftop solar power systems, Intech Energy will annually sponsor 3 solar power systems with a capacity of 5.8 kWp and a total value of 450 million VND (funded by Intech Energy’s “Bringing Electricity to the Village” project). These systems will be installed and handed over to light up schools in particularly difficult mountainous, highland, and remote areas.
2024 marks the first year of this initiative, which will continue in subsequent years.
Currently, there are over 1,100 semi-boarding ethnic minority schools nationwide with over 240,000 students from mountainous and ethnic minority backgrounds facing significant challenges. Many schools have limited facilities, and the living and learning conditions of students are difficult, requiring support from society. This collaboration between VYEA and Intech Energy will contribute to improving the quality of life and creating better learning and living environments for these children.
Mr. Nguyen Doan Thang, Vice President and Secretary-General of VYEA, expressed the association’s appreciation for Intech Energy’s support of its social welfare activities. In 2024, VYEA will collaborate with provincial and city youth unions, Viet Nam Youth Federations, and local young entrepreneurs associations to select 3 schools in particularly difficult mountainous, highland, and remote areas for Intech Energy’s support package.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Hoang Huu Thang, Chairman of Intech Energy’s Board of Directors, stated that the program’s goal is to provide children in remote areas with more opportunities to learn and discover new knowledge, while also helping schools and children access clean energy. This clean energy will support teachers in nurturing green dreams for many generations of young people. Children will also be exposed to renewable energy from an early age, fostering environmental awareness and contributing to protecting the planet.
“I want to contribute more to supporting the community. The Viet Nam Young Entrepreneurs Association is a reputable bridge between sponsors and those in need of support. Through the association, I hope to help more Viet Namese children,” shared Mr. Hoang Huu Thang.
The Viet Nam Young Entrepreneurs Association and Intech Energy believe that this cooperation agreement will enable them to support many children in special circumstances, poor children, children in difficult situations, and schools in remote and highland areas. VYEA also aims to encourage local young entrepreneurs associations to participate and implement practical activities to support children in highland areas and improve the learning environments and healthcare in remote schools.
