Hanoi, March 23, 2023 – The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) Central Committee organized a ceremony on March 23 in Hanoi to honor 10 outstanding young Vietnamese faces of 2023.
The ceremony was attended by Acting President Vo Thi Anh Xuan, First Secretary of the HCYU Central Committee Bui Quang Huy, and leaders of various central agencies and mass organizations.
19 young people were recognized for their outstanding achievements in various fields, including: Education, Scientific research and innovation, Labor and production, Business and entrepreneurship, National defense, Security and order, Physical education and sports, Social activities, Culture and arts, State administrative management.
The 2023 outstanding young Vietnamese faces award ceremony is one of the practical activities to celebrate the 84th founding anniversary of the HCYU (26/3/1931 – 26/3/2024).
The outstanding young Vietnamese faces award is a prestigious award presented by the HCYU Central Committee to recognize the efforts and achievements of young people, inspire the community, and promote the development of young talents and emulation movements in learning, training, scientific research, labor, and innovation among young people.
Among the 10 honorees is Nguyen Xuan Luc, a Top 10 Outstanding Young Entrepreneur in 2023. He is the standing member of the Young Entrepreneurs Investment and Startup Club of Viet Nam, and a member of the executive committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Young Entrepreneurs Association.
In his speech at the ceremony, First Secretary of the HCYU Central Committee Bui Quang Huy emphasized that Vietnam is on the path of rapid development with the aspiration to build a wealthy, democratic, prosperous, civilized, and happy country, becoming a modern industrialized country with high income by 2045. To achieve this aspiration, it requires the joint efforts of the entire people, including an extremely important part, which is the young people.
Bui Quang Huy affirmed that the young faces honored today are the clearest proof of the aspirations of Vietnamese youth. “We all have only one life. Whether our youth is bright or not is only once, it cannot be bright a second time. Do not let your youth pass by meaninglessly. Continue to be determined to follow the path you have chosen so that the brilliance of your youth will be the launching pad for the brilliance of your life, making the country more and more beautiful”.
Learning from the examples honored today, the Secretariat of the HCYU Central Committee hopes that young people will always nurture their aspirations, set themselves a lofty goal, nurture their determination, and do not hesitate to act to achieve their aspirations. The path to realizing aspirations can be bumpy and thorny, but if we overcome those things, we will achieve success. Our success, no matter how small, will be the bricks that contribute to the overall success of the country.
Bui Quang Huy requested that all levels of the Youth Union continue to perform their functions well, create a good training environment for young people, and be a companion of young people on the way to conquering new heights.
