From June 10th to 14th, 2024, the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Young Entrepreneurs Association organized the “Gratitude Journey – Lighting Up Faith 2024” in the Southwest region, with the participation of nearly 100 young entrepreneur delegates from provinces and cities across the country.
With a long journey, starting from Can Tho City, passing through the provinces and cities: Bac Lieu, Tra Vinh, Vinh Long and ending in Long An province, the journey included visits and offerings at: Martyrs’ cemeteries in Bac Lieu, Tra Vinh, and Vinh Long provinces; the Hung’s Kings Temple in Can Tho City; President Ho Chi Minh’s Temple in Tra Vinh province; Memorial Area for late Prime Minister Vo Van Kiet and late Chairman of the Council of Ministers Pham Hung in Vinh Long province; Long An Victory Monument; and a visit to the Long An Victory Museum.
In addition, the journey also presented 150 gifts to families of policy beneficiaries, wounded soldiers, and martyrs; and 6 gratitude houses to families of policy beneficiaries in difficult circumstances in the provinces of Tra Vinh, Bac Lieu, and Vinh Long provinces, with a total value of 720 million VND.
Notably, within the framework of the journey, the VYEA’s Central Committee delegation organized working sessions with the Bac Lieu Provincial HCYU and the Viet Nam Youth Federation of Bac Lieu province on consolidating the organization and activities of the Bac Lieu Young Entrepreneurs Association; a seminar on “Building and Developing Young Entrepreneurs Associations in the Southwest Region”; exchanges and meetings with the Soc Trang Young Entrepreneurs Association and the Long An Young Entrepreneurs Association; and participation in the 4th Congress of the Vinh Long Young Entrepreneurs Association, term 2024-2029.
Numerous exchange activities among young entrepreneurs in the region were effectively conducted, helping young entrepreneurs associations in various localities enhance communication, cooperation, companionship, experience sharing, and mutual support in organizational activities and young entrepreneur movements at the local level.
Mr. Hoang Binh Quan, former member of the CPV Central Committee, former Head of the CPV Central Committee’s Commission for External relations, former First Secretary of the HCYU Central Commitee, and Honorary President of the Viet Nam Young Entrepreneurs Association, highly appreciated the program’s significance and affirmed that the “Gratitude Journey – Lighting Up Faith 2024” is an important milestone in the activities of the Southwest regional association in particular and the Viet Nam Young Entrepreneurs Association in general.
“One of the important and successful points of the journey is that it has received much attention, encouragement, and support from leaders of various localities, numerous departments, agencies, mass organizations, and support from members both materially and spiritually, contributing to its overall success”.
Mr. Nguyen Doan Thang, Vice President and General Secretary of the Viet Nam Young Entrepreneurs Association, stated that for many years, the association has effectively promoted social welfare work while creating conditions for entrepreneurs and businesses to connect, trade, and develop socio-economically. The “Gratitude Journey – Lighting Up Faith” is one of the activities that has been organized regularly and continuously since 2019.
“We want, through these activities, entrepreneurs to see the practical values of participating in the Young Entrepreneurs Association, when their needs for business development support are met, and they have the opportunity to interact and learn from many entrepreneurs across the country. On the part of the Central Committee, we will also design many effective programs so that members feel the need and voluntarily participate in the association,” Mr. Doan Thang added.
According to Mr. Duong Long Thanh, Vice President of the Viet Nam Young Entrepreneurs Association (in charge of the Southwest region), affirmed that with the spirit of young entrepreneurs, passion, and eagerness to contribute, the association is ready to go to places that need resources the most, where people need help.
“In the coming years, the association plans to expand to areas that need the spirit of young entrepreneurs so that we can continue to contribute,” Mr. Duong Long Thanh shared.
