At the meeting, Mr. Dang Hong Anh, President of the VYEA, reported on the organization and activities of the VYEA over more than 30 years of formation and development. From the Viet Nam Young Business Club – the first precursor organization of the Viet Nam Young Entrepreneurs Association and Movement (1993), under the leadership of the HCYU in the youth movement and as a collective member of the VYU, up to now, the Vietnamese Young Entrepreneurs movement has spread throughout all parts of the country. The young business community across the country not only operates strongly in localities but also connects together into a unified bloc, creating strength and prestige in the image of Viet Nam’s young business force. The VYEA has been established in 63 provinces and cities; 2 economic groups (Viet Nam National Oil and Gas Group, Viet Nam Rubber Industry Group) ; 15 affiliated clubs with a total of nearly 19,000 members; Nearly 300 full-time officials work at the offices of the Central and local Young Entrepreneurs Association; 112 Young Entrepreneurs Clubs belong to the local Young Entrepreneurs Association. In particular, the Association’s member businesses are generating annual revenue of over 40 billion USD (contributing more than 10% of the country’s GDP) and creating jobs for more than 5 million workers.
Many generations of Association leaders and young business members have joined hands to create a large movement, creating many unique values and activities, bearing important marks such as: Red Star Award (first organized in 1999) honors outstanding young entrepreneurs; Viet Nam Gold Star Award (first held in 2003) votes and honors typical Vietnamese brands and products; The program of voting and awarding the title of outstanding Young Entrepreneurs (first held in 2015) honors outstanding young entrepreneurs; Viet Nam Private Economic Forum (organized by the Association since 2016) is a policy dialogue channel between the Government and the private business community.
International cooperation activities, trade promotion, trade connections, and use of each other’s products and services; Mobilizing resources and organizing meaningful social security activities (with resources of hundreds of billions of VND/year) have also been implemented effectively, actively, and practically by the VYEA, leaving behind A good mark on the image of the Association and young entrepreneurs, recognized and highly appreciated by leaders of the Party, State and social community.

In particular, last November 2023, the VYEA celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Vietnamese Young Entrepreneurs movement, with the participation of 1,000 representative young businessmen nationwide. In that spirit, the Acting President requests that departments, ministries, branches and localities continue to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the Party and State’s guidelines and policies on entrepreneurs, focusing on the Resolution 41 dated October 10, 2023, Politburo on “building and promoting the role of Vietnamese businessmen in the new era” for effective implementation in practice.
