The Congress took place on August 26 & 27, 2018 in Hanoi, with the participation of 708 delegates, representing nearly 1,000 members across the country.
The Congress aims to praise the achievements and contributions of the Vietnamese Young Entrepreneurs community, and is responsible for evaluating the Association’s performance for the 2014 – 2017 term, building the Association’s direction and action plan and increasing Strengthen the work of building and consolidating a strong Association organization in the 2018 – 2021 term.
The slogan of the Congress is “Pioneering innovation – Creating value”.
Attending the Congress were Politburo member and Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh; Member of the Party Central Committee, Head of the CPV’s Central Committee for Foreign Affairs Hoang Binh Quan, and leaders of central departments; First Secretary of the Central Youth Union, Chairman of the Central Vietnam Youth Union Le Quoc Phong.
The Congress voted to approve the draft Congress document and negotiate to elect the VYEA’s Central Committee term VI, term 2018 – 2021, including 113 brothers and sisters; negotiate to elect the Inspection Committee of the Central Committee of the VYEA, term VI, consisting of 5 brothers and sisters. Mr. Dang Hong Anh was elected by consultation as President of the VYEA.
